Maria asked: Are your products Made in Canada, Product of Canada or Packaged in Canada?

Our products are either Made in Canada or Product of Canada. Our products are never Packaged in Canada.

Here’s the difference!

When our products are labelled Product of Canada, that is because MORE than 98% of the ingredients are from Canada.
When our products are labelled Made in Canada, this is because MORE than 51% of the ingredients are from Canada, but the rest are from other countries.

You might ask why sometimes our products are Product of Canada and the same protein might later be labelled Made in Canada. Well, in the summer, when we can buy local vegetables, we meet the 98% threshold. When the vegetables are not in season, we have to use imported ingredients. We follow the rules!

I’ve noticed some of our competitors are mislabeling their products!

If you have a one ingredient product and it is imported from another country it can’t possibly be Product of Canada or Made in Canada. So, when you see Frogs Legs from Vietnam, Pork from New Zealand or Kangaroo from Australia they are NOT Product of Canada or Made in Canada!!! They are lying to you!

These products are deliberately mislabeled to mislead you into thinking you’re buying Canadian. Don’t be fooled!
